#1 Indiana 87 North Dakota State 61: Cody Zeller, Remy Abell and Jeremy Hollowell keyed a 2nd half run to help the top-ranked Hoosiers finally shake North Dakota State.  After the Bison had cut the lead to 48-38 with 15:55 to play, Abell, Hollowell (14 points each) and Zeller (22 points 9 rebounds) spurred a 23-3 run to put the game out of reach.  Michael Bjorklund led the way for NDSU with 16 points and six rebounds.

#5 Michigan 91 IUPUI 54: The Michigan Wolverines had five players in double figures including Trey Burke, 22 points and nine assists and Glenn Robinson III, 21 points and six rebounds en route to an easy win over IUPUI.  Michigan shot 60% from the field and made 13 3-pointers in the win while outshooting the Jaguars 16 to 4 at the free throw line.

#17 Memphis 81 North Florida 66:  Memphis led by 22 at the half and by as many as 32 in the 2nd half before they cruised to a 15-point victory. Tarick Black led the Tigers with 18 points and seven rebounds and Joe Jackson contributed 14 points, six rebounds and six assists.  Jerron Granberry poured in a team-high 17 points for the Ospreys in a losing effort.

#18 UNLV 92 Northern Arizona 54:  The Rebels best player Mike Moser scored just two points and grabbed 10 rebounds but it didn’t matter against the over matched Northern Arizona Lumberjacks.  UNLV’s freshman class picked up the slack as Anthony Bennett, Kaitin Reinhardt and Savon Goodman combined for 47 points and 15 rebounds led by Bennett’s 22 and 7. The Rebels held Northern Arizona to just 25% shooting on 15-60 from the field.

#22 Notre Dame 84 Monmouth 57: Garrick Sherman was 8-10 from the field for 22 points and he grabbed 9 rebounds to lead the Irish to an 84-57 win.  The Notre Dame big men were tough for Monmouth to handle all night as Jack Cooley added 16 points and9 rebounds of his own.  The Irish outrebounded the Hawks 2-to-1, 38-19.  Dion Nesmith was the only Hawk in double figures with 13.

#19 Gonzaga 84 West Virginia 50:  The Zags jumped out to a 27-point halftime lead 45-18 thanks to an abysmal first half by West Virginia in which they made just five shots and committed 13 turnovers.  The 2nd half didn’t get much better for West Virginia shooting just 8-32 in the 2nd half.  Gonzaga was led by its guards Kevin Pangos and Gary Bell who combined for 28 points and seven assists.

Alabama Huntsville 79 North Texas 75: People looking forward to a Tony Mitchell and North Texas match up in the NIT forgot to tell Alabama Huntsville as they upset the Mean Green 79-75.  The upset gives Alabama Huntsville the chance to face Kansas State.
