Game 10: Virginia Tech 87 West Virginia 82

At one point in the first half Virginia Tech trailed West Virginia 31-14 before the Hokies went on a 35-12 run to take the lead early in the 2nd half.  From then on Virginia Tech trailed for all of two possessions the rest of the game and came away with an 87-82 victory.   Ben Emelogu led Virginia Tech with 22 points and six boards.  The guard trio of Adam Smith, Jarell Eddie and Devin Wilson added 45 points, 13 rebounds and six assists.  For the Mountaineers who shot just 36% from the field and 64% from the free throw line, Gary Browne and Remi Dibo scored 32 points off the bench and 16 points from Eron Harris on just 4-17 shooting in a losing effort.
