Auburn trailed 42-40 early in the 2nd half and then Colorado went crazy. The Buffaloes finished the game on a 48-19 run to cruise to a 90-59 win. Senior Askia Booker struggled for most of the game, not scoring until he banked in a 3 while being fouled to get off the snide. He finished with nine points. Forwards Xavier Johnson and Josh Scott each scored 17 to pace Colorado and Wesley Gordon added 16 points and 11 rebounds in the win.
Auburn who was playing without a key cog in Antoine Mason who sat out with an ankle injury kept pace for a while. KT Harrell paced the Tigers with 20 points and impressive newcomer Cinmeon Bowers added 11 points and 13 rebounds while New Mexico State transfer K.C. Ross Miller also chipped in 11. The downfall of the Tigers was their 29% shooting and woeful 5-27 from behind the arc.
