Game 2: #22 LSU 91 Kennesaw State 69

The game was never in doubt as LSU handled Kennesaw State 91-69.  But the game was more about LSU’s talented freshmen Brandon Sampson, Antonio Blakeney and the top overall recruit Ben Simmons.  Simmons paced the Tigers with 22 points, nine rebounds and six assists.  The Australian native was also stout on the defensive end with four steals.  Sampson struggled from the field shooting just 1-7 for eight points while Blakeney added 14 points three rebounds and four assists.    Josh Gray and Aaron Epps combined for 26 points and 13 rebounds off the bench for Johnny Jones’ Tigers.

Kennesaw State’s best player, guard Yonel Brown was held to just 11 points.  Kendrick Ray had a team high 25 and Nigel Pruitt added a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds in a losing effort.
