Game 6: Hawaii 76 Nevada 75

In the best game of the marathon so far, Hawaii wins a thriller over Nevada 76-75.  With 2:37 left to play Marqueze Coleman hit a 3-pointer to tie the game at 65.  Then with 1:07 left Stefan Jankovic’s layup gave Hawaii a 71-70 lead.  After trading baskets Michael Thomas’ three point play gave Hawaii a 74-73 lead with 15 ticks left.  Coleman who notched a career-high 34 for Nevada made a driving layup with eight seconds left only to be answered by a Roderick Bobbit layup that proved to be the game winner with just three seconds left.

Aside from Coleman’s career high, D. J. Fenner also poured in 16 points to go along with seven rebounds and Cameron Oliver added eight points and 13 rebounds.

For the victors Aaron Valdes paced the Rainbows while Bobbit, Quincy Smith and Sai Tummala each added 10 apiece.
