Game 9: Valparaiso 58 Rhode Island 55

17 Nov

Four McGlynn had two attempts at a game-tying three in the waning seconds but both fell short and so did Rhode Island, falling 58-55 to Valparaiso.  If the Rams are looking for a reason they lost, it’s not McGlynn’s missed jumpers it’s the 54% they shot from the free throw line.

McGlynn scored a team-high 13 in the loss while Hassan Marting registered a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.  Jarvis Garrett and Jared Terrell each added 11 points for the Rams.

Valparaiso used balance on the offensive end to earn the win.  Vashil Fernandez, Keith Carter and Tevonn Walker all scored 12 points for the Crusaders while big man Alec Peters netted a team-high 14.
